Boston Dynamics

Head of Strategic Integration Programs, Field Applications Engineering

Waltham Office (POST) Full time

Job Summary

Boston Dynamics is seeking a Head of Strategic Integration Programs to transform frontline integration expertise into enterprise-scale execution models. This role is built for a high-level strategist to navigate real-world implementations and translate complex technical programs into repeatable, "Gold Standard" playbooks. Instead of focusing on individual site setups, this position architects the blueprints for success across key industry verticals. By codifying rollout archetypes and proactively solving for operational friction, this role ensures global partners and enterprise customers move seamlessly from pilot to fleet-wide autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vertical Playbook Development: Identify integration archetypes and convert site-level knowledge into structured, vertical-specific rollout playbooks that define the standard for integration.

  • Strategic Architecture: Architect multi-site, multi-phase integration models that address the unique environmental, regulatory, and operational constraints of different industry sectors.

  • Scaling & Standardization: Convert individual customer successes into structured, repeatable frameworks, creating the documentation and success blueprints used by the wider FAE and GTM organizations.

  • Operational Risk Mitigation: Leverage deep field experience to anticipate site-level and organizational roadblocks before they impact execution, codifying proactive mitigation strategies.

  • Cross-Functional Strategy: Partner with GTM and Sales leads to provide savvy insights on vertical-specific trends, ensuring regional playbooks reflect the ground truth of the industry.

  • Product Influence & Account Scaling: Capture expansion data, integration patterns, and adoption blockers across strategic accounts to influence scalable product and GTM priorities working together with Technical FAE team. Surface system-level improvements that accelerate multi-site replication, reduce friction in expansion cycles, and enable predictable growth across enterprise integrations.

  • Scale Enablement & Program Creation: Translate successful integrations into repeatable expansion programs, including replication playbooks, vertical deployment models, and customer adoption roadmaps. Develop customer-facing frameworks that support scale across sites, regions, and business units while aligning with evolving product capabilities.

  • Leadership & Enterprise Expansion Execution: Lead first-of-kind account expansion initiatives and multi-site rollouts by orchestrating cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Sales Engineering, Integration Project Management, Technical FAE, Product, and Customer Success. Establish structured scale programs that transition bespoke integrations into standardized, repeatable enterprise growth models.

You Must Have

  • BS in Engineering or a related technical field.

  • 6+ years of experience in fast-paced technology integration, robotics, or complex systems engineering.

  • Proven track record of leading large-scale, multi-site technical integrations.

  • Exceptional Communication: The ability to translate field "intuition" into clear, structured, and professional documentation/playbooks.

  • Systems Thinking: Demonstrated ability to understand robotics integration as part of a broader operational and business ecosystem.

  • Operational Judgment: Ability to context-switch between high-level strategy and technical troubleshooting while maintaining a focus on project timelines and budget.

We Value

  • Intuitive Strategy: An instinct for identifying the shortest path to a successful rollout in ambiguous environments.

  • Industry Expertise: Experience with automated material handling, control systems, or specialized industrial workflows (e.g., power plants, manufacturing).

  • Adaptability: Comfort with developing and refining processes that are optimized for global scalability.

  • Mentorship: Experience guiding junior engineers or customers through complex technical transitions.

  • Go To Market Mindset: Ability to see the link between a successful technical integration and long-term customer ROI/account growth.

Travel

  • Willing to travel 50% of the time.
