As a Systems Integration Engineer III, you'll be able to manage advanced systems integration tasks with high competence in requirements analysis and management. You'll lead verification and validation (V&V) activities, oversee complex software and hardware integration, and manage configuration management processes. You'll be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test plans, solving and troubleshooting technical problems with expertise, and applying sophisticated analytical thinking and critical reasoning. Your role will require strong technical writing and documentation skills, and a thorough understanding of aerospace and defense standards. Our team works on a regular release cadence with an engaged user community for airborne and ground operations. The product we work on enables communications within challenging, complex, and dynamic environments and is expanding its use case to include android.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage advanced systems integration tasks with high competence.

  • Lead requirements analysis and management for complex projects.

  • Oversee comprehensive verification and validation (V&V) activities.

  • Supervise and manage complex software and hardware integration efforts.

  • Ensure effective configuration management and maintain thorough documentation.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, and troubleshoot complex technical issues.

  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and bring the whole team together during integration and test

  • Primary person responsible for iterative systems - software integration and testing, including planning, communication, execution, and risk management

  • Responsible for test planning from requirements to final acceptance

  • Responsible for lab and system setup for software test execution

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

  • 6+ years of experience in systems integration or related field.

  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.

  • Advanced proficiency with integration tools and methodologies.

  • Thorough knowledge of engineering principles and practices.

  • Experience working in multidisciplinary design & development teams.

  • Understanding and experience with the practical application of requirements development and management, system design, systems integration, technical risk identification, management strategies, and V&V principles.

  • Experience with software testing

  • Experience with system maintenance, configuration, and troubleshooting

  • Experience with documentation of configuration for use by others and for recreation of environments

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Agile methodologies and Scrum Master certification.

  • Experience with real-time operating systems and embedded systems.

  • Experience or certification in International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) standards [Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP)/Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)].

  • Background in Aerospace and Defense industry.

  • Ability to apply technical principles, theories, and concepts and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts.

  • Technical problem solving skills and ability to develop innovative technical solutions.

  • Ability to guide technical designs through development into a final deliverable product.

  • Ability to work successfully in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment emphasizing rapid prototyping and fielding of capabilities, with minimal supervision.

  • Proven successful experience in project definition, simulation, implementation, lab integration and test.

  • Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, Government, or US Military.

  • INCOSE Certification

  • Software Test certification

  • Experience with integration of android and iOS devices within a DoD environment

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.

  • Hand/finger dexterity for integration tasks.

  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional travel.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $108,496.89 - $149,183.22. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
