Position Summary:

Assist in preparation of laboratory exercises and assignments for protein modeling, structure and function.  Attend classes to assist students with hands-on exercises.  Assist in grading mid-term exam, assignments and final project.

Qualifications:

Graduate student possessing a strong background in bioinformatics with emphasis on protein structure and small molecules, preferably having taken this course previously.  Detailed knowledge and experience with protein modeling, thermodynamics, docking, and virtual screening of chemical compounds.  In addition, excellent oral communication skills (English) and proficient teaching skills are essential. 

Your duties shall be outlined in the Workload form, to be completed by the course instructor and signed by both parties.

Please note that Teaching Assistants will be required on campus to perform their tasks in person.  Should anything prohibit in-person teaching activities, courses will migrate to remote teaching. In the event of such a change, Teaching Assistants will be advised as soon as possible.  Teaching Assistants may be required to perform tasks suited to a remote/online teaching environment using a virtual learning platform [e.g., Zoom, WebEx] and the McGill myCourses learning management system.

This position is located in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, Quebec and you are expected to perform the work for this position in Quebec.
