We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sustaining Engineer to join our team in Piedras Negras. This role is critical to supporting the long-term performance and reliability of our existing products. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish across global teams.

About Your Role:

Investigate returned materials to identify root causes and drive corrective actions. Follow the RMA process, including analysis, troubleshooting, and documentation of RMA items.

Work with the quality team with 8D reporting when necessary.

Analyse RMA trends and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product reliability.

Manage component and material lifecycle, including tracking obsolescence and identifying alternatives.

Coordinate with procurement and manufacturing to ensure component availability and compliance.

Identify and implement design changes that reduce product cost and improve performance.

Support prototype builds, troubleshooting, and iterative design improvements.

Update design documentation, specifications, and test plans to reflect engineering changes.

Participate in design reviews and contribute to sustaining engineering decisions.


About You:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, or related engineering field.

2+ years of experience in sustaining, manufacturing, or product support engineering.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience with failure analysis, component sourcing, and design validation.

Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (written and verbal).

Ability to work collaboratively across departments and international teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ERP systems and component lifecycle management tools.

Knowledge of PCB design and electrical troubleshooting.

Exposure to regulatory standards (UL, CE, etc.).

Scripting experience (Python preferred).
