Position Overview:

Primary responsibility is to support the technical Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) in the assigned Navico Group product families. This includes evaluating returned electrical products such as Batteries, inverters chargers other electrical devices. Document all evaluations and report out on corrective action and trending quality issues in a timely manner. Collaborating with other team members in the warranty, quality, engineering, production, and service departments when there is need for further containment and/or Corrective and Preventative Action.

Additional responsibility to production quality data collection and reporting as defined by quality engineering.  Responsibility to incoming inspection system data, collection, recording and reporting.  Communication of this information to production for root cause analysis and correction.

Essential Functions:

  • Evaluate, document and disposition damaged, defective and warranty returned items per standard operating procedures.
  • Determine disposition of items into categories such as: Repacking, Remanufacturing, Repair and Recycle.
  • Complete resolution of RMA returns and warehouse damaged items.
  • Record evaluations, and document items for corrective actions
  • Work closely with warranty and technical support groups to document and close RMA claims in a timely manner
  • Working with engineering product management and quality manager to address quality concerns and trending issues.
  • Working with Production to identify quality defects and trends
  • Working with incoming receiving team to conduct and record incoming inspections.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.

Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years in a manufacturing, warranty, or quality environment
  • DC electrical experience
  • Ability to use different electrical hand tools and meters. (Example: multi meters, calipers, Crimpers )
  • 2-3 years doing assembly and or evaluations.
  • Technical competence in assembly practices and standards.
  • This individual must have excellent problem solving and communication skills, and the ability to effectively interface with a wide range of employees to meet departmental and company goals.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft office and inventory monitoring software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, preferred
  • Some secondary education/experience in a technical program or related field
  • Certifications in circuit board, electrical and electronic device evaluation
  • Marine/RV Electrical experience
  • Circuit board and mechanical evaluation

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to routinely lift 50 lbs. shoulder-height,
  • Understand electrical safety while using and applying electricity.
  • This position will work in both a lab environment, at a stand-up bench and in a production environment.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $17.00-$27.00, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
