Construction Project Manager

Argonne is in search of a Construction Project Manager to manage a portfolio of multiple construction projects typically valued at less than $1 million with a total portfolio typically valued at no more than $6 million. Projects are focused on facility infrastructure improvements, repairs, new construction, and renovations. Interacts primarily with Argonne collaborators, design consultants, and vendors/contractors.

Position Requirements

  • Skill in preparing the design specifications, estimating the cost, and managing the installation and/or construction of components and systems.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and tools.
  • Skill and demonstrated expertise in management and leadership techniques and in technical direction and supervision.
  • Oral and written communication skills and the ability to works with all level of internal and external contacts and to build excellent working relationships.
  • Skill in negotiation and the ability to achieve designated project goals.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles, practices, codes and standards, as applied to the delivery of construction projects.
  • Skill in work-related use of computers.
  • Ability to model Argonne's core values of impact, safety, respect, integrity, and teamwork.

Preferred

  • Professional registration in Project Management (PMP), or Engineering, or Architecture is highly desirable.

Educational Requirements

  • Entrance to this level will require demonstrated and or documented previous experience or expertise in project management of a commensurate scope.
  • PT4 Level: Bachelors and 6+ years or Masters and 4+ years of experience or equivalent. The expected pay range for this level is $107,000-$142,000.
  • PT5 Level: Bachelors and 10+ years or Masters and 6+ years of experience or equivalent. The expected pay range for this level is $130,000-$173,000.

The expected hiring range for this position is $106,455.00 - $166,069.80.
