Base salary will be in the range $93,491 - $100,296 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 6)

Join a dynamic, award-winning Marketing and Communication team and help shape the visual voice of one of Australia’s leading universities. As Senior Graphic and Digital Designer, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact creative across major digital and print channels, from campaign assets and social content to brochures, signage and multimedia experiences.
Working closely with our Creative Director, Art Director and Brand team, you will bring ideas to life through thoughtful design, refined craft and excellence in execution. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the University’s visual identity, collaborate with diverse clients, and create work that inspires, informs and elevates the UQ brand.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limed to:
Work across an exciting and varied mix of creative projects, from large-scale brand initiatives to bespoke design solutions, bringing fresh thinking and adaptability to every brief.
Deliver high-quality graphic and digital design solutions across print, digital, social, outdoor and environmental channels, ensuring strong alignment with UQ brand guidelines and meaningful connection with key audiences.
Translate creative briefs into clear, engaging concepts, presentations and finished art in collaboration with the Creative Director, Art Director and the broader design team.
Manage multiple projects confidently, balancing timelines, budgets and stakeholder expectations while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Produce and prepare static, animated and interactive assets, and final print-ready and digital-ready artwork, that meet professional production standards and support major University campaigns.

Salary packaging options
Hold a degree in graphic design or a related field or possess equivalent professional experience.
Demonstrated expertise using Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects, to produce high-quality digital and print design.
Skilled in creating static, animated and interactive digital graphics, with a strong understanding of contemporary digital design standards and UX/UI principles.
Experienced in end-to-end design production, from developing original concepts to delivering polished collateral across multiple formats.
Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise, collaborate effectively and maintain exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, enabling you to work confidently with colleagues at all levels.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia. This may also include checks relating to gender-based violence matters or other integrity and conduct requirements..
