Full-time, fixed-term position for up to 3 years
Base salary will be in the range $93,491 - $100,296 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 6)
Based at our Saint Lucia campus
This is an exciting opportunity to coordinate and support international development training and capacity building projects and business development activities within the International Development team at UQ.
The Development Coordinator role is responsible for end-to-end coordination and successful delivery of UQID (International Development) projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to the highest standards. You will oversee all aspects of day-to-day project execution, including logistics, finance, personnel engagement and coordination and project reporting, all while ensuring compliance with UQ policies and contractual obligations.
The successful candidate will need the ability and flexibility to occasionally travel and work non-standard hours when required.
Key responsibilities will include:
Project Delivery
Coordinate end-to-end project delivery in line with client contracts and internal standards.
Manage project budgets and payments, including financial reports, ensuring compliance with finance and procurement policies (financial delegation up to $5,000).
Organise travel, events, meetings and logistics for project activities.
Maintain project systems and reporting platforms, ensuring accurate tracking through to completion.
Provide guidance to Development Officers supporting project delivery.
Represent UQ International Development at local and international events and meetings.
Act as key contact for participants and stakeholders, communicating effectively across cultures.
Business Development & Engagement
Support the tracking and preparation of selected tenders, as part of the tender team.
Develop capability statements, brochures and Program Description Sheets.
Provide input into reports and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who has outstanding attention to detail, can problem solve and negotiate tasks through to completion while also putting a focus on team collaboration for shared outcomes. You will also have:
Qualifications in a relevant related field in Project Management, Adult Education, International Development highly desirable.
Relevant experience working in coordinating training programs, project management or related coordination roles in a multicultural, international and/or diverse environment.
Sound knowledge of project monitoring and evaluation and how to apply this to review and report on projects.
Strong financial skills, including managing budgets, forecasting expenditure and reporting on expenses.
Demonstrated experience using MS Office, with strong document presentation skills and the ability to present and communicate clearly.
High-level interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment, including with internal and external stakeholders and high-level government stakeholders and diplomats
