We are seeking a highly capable and strategic individual to join our UK/European Talent Strategy team at Mercer. This role will be based in London. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
This role combines senior-level strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, partnering with clients to design, architect, and implement employee experience strategies that extend beyond traditional employee listening. You will lead and actively contribute to transformation programmes that enhance workforce engagement, leveraging advanced technology to deliver innovative, data-driven solutions. As a trusted advisor to senior leadership, you will influence talent and organisational strategies that shape the future of work, while also being directly involved in project execution and client deliverables. You will play a key role in expanding our market presence, building Mercer’s brand as a thought leader, and supporting commercial growth.
We will count on you to:
- Manage and deliver large-scale employee listening and experience transformation programmes, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on project execution.
- Serve as the primary client contact on projects, managing expectations, delivering high-impact presentations, and fostering trusted advisor relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Engage in sales and business development activities, including client relationship building, proposal pitching and market brand building, with a primary focus on the UK market.
- Advise clients on workforce transformation trends
- Contribute to Mercer’s thought leadership in employee experience and talent strategy through speaking engagements, publications, and participation in industry forums.
- Provide expert guidance on how to leverage HR technologies, ensuring alignment between employee experience platforms, employee listening tools, and broader HR systems
- Collaborate across Mercer’s practices to develop and implement innovative, client-centric solutions addressing leadership empowerment, talent development, cultural change, and workforce planning.
- Mentor and support junior consultants, promoting a culture of continuous learning and excellence within the team.
What you need to have:
- Advanced degree (MSc or equivalent) in Social Sciences, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Applied Psychology, Organisational Behaviour, or related fields.
- Extensive experience in employee experience strategy, design, and transformation programmes, with a track record of both leading and delivering project work.
- Proven expertise in employee research methodologies, including employee listening, surveys, and 360-degree feedback.
- Commercial awareness with experience contributing to the successful delivery of revenue-generating projects. Proven new business development and networking experience.
- Deep understanding of HR technology platforms supporting employee experience and listening.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English; additional European languages are advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and data visualisation tools.
