Lilly's Biotechnology Discovery research (BioTDR) organization delivers novel biotherapeutic medicines for clinical testing across multiple therapeutic areas. We are seeking a highly motivated scientist with a background in cell biology to join the Biotherapeutic Enabling Biology (BioRx) team within BioTDR. Our group is responsible for identifying and characterizing novel bioactive molecules for advancement into the Lilly portfolio. Additionally, this position offers the candidate a unique opportunity to collaborate with external partners to discover novel therapeutics.
The responsibilities and functions include:
Provide technical leadership developing in vitro assays for SAR of antibodies and protein therapeutics.
Evaluate therapeutic antibodies and proteins for disease relevant biological activity and cellular trafficking.
Evaluate antibody and antibody conjugates in relevant biological systems.
Successfully interacting with external collaborators to accelerate and deliver key in vitro data.
Data analysis including statistical analysis and graphing.
Participating in internal and external team meetings with oral and written presentation of data.
Responsible for timely delivery & documentation of assay data in electronic notebooks and other appropriate data repositories.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's or M.S. degree in Cell Biology or similar field
1+ years of industry In vitro and molecular biology experience including, but not limited to, the following: mammalian cell culture techniques (primary cells and cell lines) and cell assay development to support screening of antibodies, peptides, and biologic-siRNA conjugates.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$65,250 - $148,500Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
