What you will do:
The Rec Room’s Server Assistants are an integral part of the team who provide an exceptional dining experience to each and every guest. The Server Assistant delivers food and beverages to guests in multiple areas of the building, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of the overall order, and clears tables and the bar as soon as guests leave to prepare for the next guest. In this role, your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
· Work closely and provide assistance to the wait staff, dishwashers, bar and kitchen staff, ensuring there are always clean plates and flatware for each table or at the bar, maintaining liquor and bar supplies are filled to sustain service levels at the bar, and changing kegs in the walk-in fridge or portable bars when required
· Bring utensils, condiments and other requested items to the table, fill water glasses and refillable drinks, and ensure service stations are well-stocked
· Return food and drink items if a change or correction is required, and return the newly prepared item to the guest
· Assist with the overall cleanliness appearance of the venue, washing glassware and utensils from the bar area after each use or washing dishes during peak periods
Qualifications:
This role may be a perfect fit for you if:
· Candidates must be the required age of majority or older
· You have a completed high school diploma or GED, or currently in progress
· You can work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends with extended hours as required
· You have strong guest service skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment and multi-task
· You have strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong attention to detail
· 1-3 years of experience as a Server Assistant, Runner, Barback or Busser, or in a similar capacity considered an asset
· Provincially applicable sell, sale, and handling of alcohol certificate.
