Job Summary: **
The Quality Technician II at Jabil, Inc. performs moderately complex quality assurance activities to ensure products meet established standards and specifications, supporting production processes and problem-solving efforts.
Job Responsibilities: **
* Conduct in-process and final inspections, tests, and measurements on products, components, and materials to verify conformance to specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
* Utilize various measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
* Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, maintaining detailed records of quality data.
* Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective action processes.
* Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing improvements to quality processes and procedures.
* Support internal and external audits as required, providing documentation and assistance to auditors.
* Train and mentor entry-level Quality Technicians on established procedures and best practices.
* Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to address quality concerns and improve product quality.
* Perform first article inspections (FAI) and maintain relevant documentation.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
Job Qualifications: **
* High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in a technical field or related discipline preferred.
* 2-4 years of experience in a quality assurance or manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics manufacturing or a similar industry.
* Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies (e.g., SPC, 8D, FMEA).
* Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
* Demonstrated proficiency with various inspection and measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM basics a plus).
* Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to effectively communicate technical information both verbally and in writing.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems is a plus.
