Role Overview
As part of the Major Change function, the Project Manager is the driving force behind the delivery of strategic projects. Responsible for delivering on time and within budget, the project manager ensures that all stakeholders are aligned and accountable to project objectives and ensures momentum on project deliverables.
Responsibilities:
Driving force behind the delivery of project or projects, ensuring that the individual projects meet business requirements and are delivered to time, budget and quality
Oversee the delivery of the project(s) from initiation to completion, developing end-to-end project plans, in adherence to the PXC Change Framework
Establish and maintain the overall project plan, key milestones and work packages, ensuring clear accountability and ownership across the stakeholder group
Identify and pro-actively manage risks, issues and dependencies, escalating as appropriate
Provide potential resolutions to problems, project changes and resource constraints
Set up and manage appropriate project governance, including SteerCos and reporting to ensure that stakeholders remain fully engaged
Work with colleagues to ensure planned project deliverables are fit for purpose and successfully accepted into service
Establish and execute project comms plan including pre / post -implementation comms
Identify and track project success factors and operational KPIs
Conduct end project evaluation to assess how well the project was managed
Ensure lessons learnt are factored into future projects
Display problem solving acumen; take ownership of a issues and seek to drive to resolution
To be successful in this role, you will have a proven experience in successful project delivery as well as:
Strong stakeholder engagement, collaboration and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to find creative solutions to complex business and project challenges
Accreditation in project management (e.g. Prince2, APIM)
Good commercial awareness, ensuring that projects are delivered in the most cost-effective way, whilst delivering business case assumptions
A focus on the customer to ensure solutions support a good customer experience
Demonstrated ability to lead a matrix team to deliver project objectives
