Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Production Engineer (Mechanical) to optimize and improve manufacturing processes for our cutting-edge products. This role focuses on enhancing efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness within our production facilities.
Job Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and implement mechanical production processes, tooling, and fixtures to improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, and safety.
* Analyze existing production lines and identify areas for improvement, implementing solutions to reduce downtime, waste, and defects.
* Collaborate with R&D, design, and quality assurance teams to ensure manufacturability of new products and smooth transition from design to production.
* Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
* Conduct root cause analysis for production issues, implement corrective and preventive actions, and monitor their effectiveness.
* Evaluate and select appropriate manufacturing technologies, machinery, and equipment to meet production demands and quality standards.
* Support the training of production staff on new processes, equipment, and quality standards.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
* Manage and execute small to medium-scale engineering projects related to production line upgrades or new product introductions.
Job Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
* 3-5 years of experience in a production engineering or manufacturing engineering role, preferably within a complex manufacturing environment.
* Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, assembly, welding, stamping, injection molding), and materials science.
* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) for designing and analyzing mechanical components and assemblies.
* Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and other quality assurance tools is a plus.
* Knowledge of robotics and automation in manufacturing is desirable.
