The Photography Associate works in Park Studios, a highly collaborative and fast-paced production environment where efficiency and high-quality work are top priorities. This entry-level role supports the Creative Manager, Art Director, and Videographer in planning, setting up, and executing photo sessions. The Photography Associate is responsible for capturing clear, dynamic photos according to provided creative direction and supporting post-production editing and delivery of final assets. Duties include setting up backdrops, lighting, and equipment, assisting with on-set execution, editing, and organizing and archiving final files.

How You'll Create Possibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Photography Production (Pre-Production & On-Set Execution) — 40%

  • Support studio and on-location photo shoots through set preparation, equipment setup, and lighting placement following creative direction.

  • Capture product and lifestyle imagery aligned to Creative Manager and Art Director specifications, with strong attention to composition, exposure, and technical accuracy.

  • Assist with on-set execution, including prop placement, basic talent/model direction support, and shoot pacing to ensure efficient, organized sessions.

Post-Production / Editing & Retouching — 30%

  • Edit photography assets using foundational color correction, cleanup, and retouching techniques in accordance with brand and studio standards.

  • Export and deliver production-ready assets in required formats, adhering to established naming conventions and delivery guidelines.

  • Support file organization, version control, and asset tracking to ensure accuracy and efficiency from draft through final delivery.

Creative & Quality Support — 10%

  • Apply and uphold studio photography standards for lighting, image quality, and visual consistency under studio leadership guidance.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying workflow opportunities, proposing solutions, and implementing updates when assigned.

  • Stay informed on trends, tools, and best practices in photography and visual content to support creative growth and studio output.

Project Support & Collaboration — 15%

  • Support multiple concurrent projects by tracking assigned tasks, communicating progress, and meeting deadlines.

  • Collaborate with internal team members and on-set partners (models, stylists, hair/makeup artists) to promote efficient production and a positive working environment.

  • Participate in cross-functional check-ins and feedback cycles to ensure deliverables meet creative and brand expectations.

Studio Operations — 5%

  • Maintain studio readiness by organizing equipment, supporting basic maintenance needs, and ensuring workspaces are shoot-ready.

  • Assist with equipment inventory tracking and organization to support availability and efficient workflow.

  • Archive and manage photography assets using established storage, labeling, and retrieval practices.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Media Production, Videography, Art, Communications, or a related field.

  • 1 year of relevant photography or production experience (internships or freelance experience acceptable).

  • Ability to interpret creative direction and translate it into clear, compelling visual storytelling.

  • Strong foundational understanding of lighting, color, texture, and composition.

  • Proactive mindset with a desire to learn, take initiative, and stay current on photography and editing trends.

  • Proficiency with Canon camera systems and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

  • Familiarity with CGI or 3D tools (e.g., 3ds Max, Autodesk Maya) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with studio lighting and photographing complex products (reflective, metallic, transparent surfaces).

  • Strong retouching and compositing skills, including masking, cleanup, and color matching.

  • Exposure to AI-assisted or CGI workflows is a plus.

Working Conditions

  • This role is performed on-site in a production studio environment.

  • Requires regular setup and handling of photography equipment and lighting fixtures.

  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 25 lbs as needed.
