Position Overview

This role will be onsite in our Montreal, Quebec office.

The People and Culture Project Associate, NA is a versatile, execution‑focused role designed to support a wide range of People & Culture initiatives across the employee lifecycle. This role blends project coordination, data support, and operational execution, serving as a utility player who can flex across priorities, keep workstreams moving, and ensure People & Culture projects stay on track.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, data‑savvy, and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, evolving environment. They bring strong follow‑through, can shift seamlessly between project work and operational support, and collaborate effectively across HR, Payroll, Benefits, HRIS, and Employee Relations.

Essential Job Functions

Project & Workstream Support

  • Support People & Culture projects from planning through execution, including performance cycles, promotions, new applications,  policy rollouts, and process improvements.

  • Maintain project plans, timelines, and trackers to ensure milestones, dependencies, and deliverables remain on track.

  • Actively push workstreams forward by following up on action items, coordinating stakeholders, and escalating risks or delays as needed.

  • Prepare project updates, summaries, and materials for People & Culture leadership.

  • Flex across initiatives to provide hands‑on support where capacity or urgency is greatest.

People Data & Reporting Support

  • Maintain the integrity of employee data across HR systems by supporting accurate and timely processing of hires, job changes, and separations.

  • Produce recurring workforce reports (e.g., headcount, turnover, promotions, compensation movement) to support People & Culture planning and decision‑making.

  • Assist in analyzing trends and translating data into clear insights for HRBPs, HR Partners, and People Experience leaders.

  • Support the development, maintenance, and automation of dashboards and reports in partnership with HRIS and Finance.

HR Operations & Process Coordination

  • Support operational execution of People & Culture programs by coordinating inputs across HRBPs, Payroll, Benefits, and HRIS.

  • Identify process gaps or inefficiencies and recommend practical, scalable improvements.

  • Serve as a point of coordination to help ensure a consistent employee experience across HR transactions.

  • Maintain documentation, trackers, and process materials to support standardization and continuity.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Support

  • Partner with HRBPs and HR Partners on talent planning support, career progression tracking, and engagement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with Employee Relations to support case trend reporting and insights that inform proactive actions.

  • Work closely with Payroll and Benefits to support data alignment, reporting accuracy, and compliance‑related reviews.

  • Provide responsive People & Culture support to employees and leaders as needed, applying policies and processes consistently and equitably.

Additional Duties

  • Handle additional duties as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 3–5 years of experience in HR operations, HR generalist, project coordination, or analytics‑adjacent roles.

  • Experience working with HR systems such as Workday and standard HR reporting tools.

  • Strong Excel skills; experience or exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow‑through.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to shifting needs.

  • Willingness to travel up to 10%, with flexibility for occasional off-hours needs.

Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role, which involves interactions with counterparts in the same department, and stakeholders in the United States.
