Multimedia Assistant - Federal Work Study

: $17.00 - $19.00

Position Summary

The Federal Work Study position is a part-time, student worker opportunity with National University.  The students will provide general support and assistance to their selected department and will work on special projects as assigned and aligned with the student’s stated interests and career goals.

Essential Functions:

  • The Federal Work Study student will support the Library’s development of multimedia to support student learning by carrying out projects create and update digital media.
  • Assist in the creation, editing, and production of digital media content, including short videos, audio recordings, and graphic images, using software like Canva, Camtasia, and ScreenPal.
  • Upload digital media to ScreenPal and add needed thumbnail images, captions, and audio descriptions to videos.
  • Assist with Springshare asset maintenance and clean-up initiatives.
  • Adhere to library and university privacy and confidentiality policies 
  • Attend training sessions and regular check-ins with supervisor 

Requirements:

  • Must be a current National University student who has completed a current FAFSA.
  • Ability to work up to 15 hours per week with a varied schedule.
  • Proficiency with Multimedia Software: Experience or familiarity with programs like Canva, Camtasia, or similar video, audio, and graphic editing tools.

Technical / Functional Skills:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.

Candidate receiving offers will be offered a salary/pay rate commensurate with experience that vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies.  Absent exceptional circumstances, candidates will be offered a salary within this range for this position. The minimum salary will be offered based on the minimum exemption threshold based on state of residency.
