Right now, we are seeking a bright and energised Inventory Procurement Lead.

Working within the Minor Vessel Capability Lifecycle Manager (MV CLCM) program the Inventory Procurement Lead is accountable to the Inventory Lead to support development and proactive management of the inventory requirements across the vessel’s lifecycle – underpinning the availability of the ships to Navy.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate and manage procurement and sourcing personnel and ensure the procurement needs of the contract are met.
- Coordinate and manage sourcing and procurement priorities to meet performance targets.
- Mentor and develop less experienced staff within the team.
- Conduct procurement planning and scheduling to support customer / third party requirements.
- Engage with customer / third party to clarify sourcing and procurement requirements and ensure procurement outcomes meet expectations.
- Guide and manage sourcing and procurement activities and ensure compliance with customer / third party process(es).
- Initiate and manage sourcing and procurement due‑diligence activities (Integrate mandatory policy requirements being but not limited to; including Indigenous and Organic sourcing (Australian Industry Component), Sustainability, Modern Slavery).
- Identify, analyse and mitigate procurement risks throughout the lifecycle.
- Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to clarify, define and refine scope and supply requirements.
- Travel may be required, both within Australia and internationally, to fulfil the requirements of this role.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Requires Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree in Supply Chain (Procurement, Material Logistics), Contracting, Business, Commerce, Law, or Finance, or equivalent technical background. (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 3-5 years prior relevant experience.
- Requires advanced knowledge of supply chain (procurement, material logistics), contracting, business, commerce, law or finance work area.
- Computer literacy including the use of inventory management systems, eg SAP, Windows OS and Microsoft Office
- Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a NV-1 Security clearance as needed. Eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva
