International Tax Manager

Charlotte, NC, USA Full time

Provides international tax expertise and information-sharing services for the organization and ensures that all related tax regulations are followed.  This role will support the International Tax Senior Manager and other members of corporate tax.  The role’s functional areas will be split between tax planning and compliance.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Monitor U.S. and global international tax regulations and reporting obligations and assess the potential impact within the organization.
  • Collaborate with business units and legal personnel as a subject matter expert on U.S. international tax. 
  • Maintain and update international tax calculations including modeling the impact of U.S. and global tax reform, proposed regulations, restructurings, and tax planning.
  • Coordinate with the external tax advisors on the technical matters.
  • Assists with U.S. international tax compliance through collecting and verifying data from business units, analyzing filing requirements, and review of Forms 1118, 5471, 8865, 8858, 8990, 8992, etc. and related calculations prepared by third party tax advisors.
  • Management and review of U.S. international related calculations and forms prepared by third party vendors to ensure timely and accurate completion of tax compliance and financial reporting deadlines.
  • Maintain compliance tax reporting calendar for U.S. international and local jurisdictions.
  • Assist with annual provision as it relates to Subpart F, GILTI, and overall FTC utilization.
  • Assist with merger and acquisition activities including structure design and due diligence to ensure tax efficiency of business transactions.
  • Support transfer pricing compliance globally through preparation of the master file.
  • Research technical international tax matters and prepare memorandums to document conclusions and positions taken.
  • Help junior staff learn the appropriate regulations, filing procedures and internal communication needs.

  • 5 + years of experience in a Tax Professional role with a focus in corporate U.S. international taxation.

 

Preferred:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Tax Professional role with 2-3 years of experience focused in corporate US international taxation.
  • University degree in Accounting
  • Masters degree in Accounting / Taxation
  • Public accounting experience
  • CPA certification

Base Pay Range: $102,000/yr - $140,000/yr

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
