Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Finance/IT professional who will serve as the primary financial advisor to the IT department, ensuring robust expense governance and alignment of technology investments with business objectives. Drive cost transparency, optimization, and value realization while partnering with IT leadership on strategic initiatives.
The candidate should also be experienced in the interrogation of IT spend categories (software licenses, hardware, cloud, etc.), work closely with IT to continually identify efficiency opportunities to enable further redirection of funding to our strategic objectives.

Business Partnering
- Collaborate with CIO and IT leadership to align financial plans with technology strategy, bridges Finance, IT, and Business, providing insights that reduce costs, improve governance, and align IT investments with business value.
- Identification of process bottlenecks and insights to automation opportunities and drive adoption from business and IT.
- Involve in the end to end process from business ideation to quantification of benefits and OKRs for new IT projects and track efficiencies and savings.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead IT expense budgeting and forecasting cycles from Finance perspective
- Review CAPEX and OPEX definitions and ensure accurate execution across the portfolio.
- Develop financial models to support IT investment decisions and ROI assessments.
Expense Governance & Optimization
- Implement and maintain IT expense management frameworks.
- Provide clarity on BAU (composition, keep-the-lights-on costs, enhancement metrics like cost per incident), strategic projects (grow & invest).
- Identify opportunities for improvement in governance, process streamlining, and automation.
- Work with PMO to analyze timesheets for project costs and accurately report project costs including FTEs allocation.
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Work with Procurement to establish and enforce RFP processes (pricing, rate cards, project implementation costs, change request tracking).
- Conduct regular vendor reviews and maintain history for bargaining power.
- Audit for over-licensing and subscription sizing.
Reporting & Stakeholder Communication
- Prepare and deliver IT expense reports for senior management and executive committees.
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
Preferred skills (heading) / Compétences particulières (titre)
- Detailed knowledge and experience in IT financials, including detailed knowledge of IT spend types (cloud, licenses and hardware), a knowledge through experience of reasonable cost ranges, and typical areas where savings can be achieved
- Experience in IT Project Accounting, including best practices in timesheet and resource allocation, shared capacity allocation and financial accounting treatments
- Experience with appropriate tools and techniques to achieve the above
Qualifications (heading) / Compétences (titre)
- University Graduate and above from Information Technology discipline
- Over 10 years of experience in finance disciplines
- Over 7 years of experience, specifically with IT finance, including project accounting, and cost optimization
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, and the proven capability to represent complex financials in relatively simple diagrams and charts for senior management
- Strong communication, collaboration, and inter-personnel skills, especially when explain data management principles in business easy to understand language
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills to get buy-ins from the business stakeholders, Regional, and Corporate
- Able to think out of the box in data usage design and resolving conflicts
- Fluent in English
