Senior Finance Analyst (SPC Finance)

Lendlease Japan is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Analyst to join our Tokyo office and support our growing Japan business. The role will responsible for financial accounting, budget control, cash management, financial reporting, and governance process of Development and Asset Management business and project SPCs (e.g. TMK, GK, TK, ISH entities structures).

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;

  • Manage project financial accounting, budgeting, and reporting in collaboration with Development and Asset Managers.
  • Oversee external accounting service providers for SPCs accounting, cash management, tax compliance, and monthly reporting under JGAAP and IFRS.
  • Coordinate with Country, Group, and Regional finance teams on planning, forecasting, audits, and policy updates.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial closing, journal entries, and accruals in JGAAP and IFRS.
  • Review contracts and ensure accurate revenue and cost recognition.
  • Manage tax compliance, annual tax returns, and support tax audits.
  • Handle SPCs cash management, including equity and debt drawdowns, covenant compliance, and capital structuring.
  • Prepare monthly management reports with analysis on property income, project costs, cash flow, and SPCs P&L.
  • Support FP&A activities including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure loan covenant compliance and reporting to lenders.
  • Reconcile statutory reports with management reports for half-year and full-year closings.
  • Implement global policies, procedures, and financial controls to maintain compliance and integrity.
  • Monitor compliance risks and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with project teams, business functions, and senior management on finance matters.
  • Conduct financial analysis and research to support informed decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • Professional qualification such as Nissho Boki 2nd grade or higher is an advantage.(CPA preferred but not mandatory)
  • Experience in multinational companies; Big 4 background desirable. Experience in real estate related business preferred.
  • Experience in foreign investment in real estate development and operation in Japan via SPCs.
  • In-depth understanding of general and transactional accounting, cost accounting and reporting.
  • Proficiency in both JGAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
  • Knowledge of local tax system as well as tax and statutory audit.
  • Proactive in seeking out knowledge, capable of leveraging Lendlease’s global platform for application to the improvement of the Japan business.
