Position Information

We are seeking a human resources intern, who under supervision, performs routine and some specialized human resources duties while supporting daily HR operations. This role provides hands-on experience in pre-employment processes, employee support, and HR systems, along with opportunities to contribute to projects and initiatives across multiple HR functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and some specialized human resources duties in support of the HR team

  • Conduct background checks and ensure timely completion of pre-employment screening requirements

  • Perform degree and verifications for candidates

  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls, providing professional assistance to employees and candidates

  • Assist in preparing human resources reports and maintaining accurate records

  • Under supervision, review and process actions in the HRIS or related systems

  • Assist in researching and completing various HR projects, including process improvements, reporting, and data tracking

  • May cross-train in specialized HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, benefits, employee relations, payroll, performance management, and other HR disciplines

  • Attend HR trainings and informational meetings

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Customer service mindset with a willingness to assist others

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others

What You Need to Know

Duration: The tentative dates for this position are May 11th – August 21st, up to 40 hours per week.
