EDUCATION • Degree or equivalent work experience equally preferable CERTIFICATIONS WORK EXPERIENCE • Experience in human resources • Financial services experience a plus • Knowledge of HR policies and procedures FUNCTIONAL SKILLS • Basic experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), Workday, database management, record keeping and MS Office • Exposure to the hiring process • Familiarity with HR best practices and current regulations • Basic understanding of employment/labor laws FOUNDATIONAL SKILLS • Communicates effectively • Identifies multiple paths to success through the development of analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills • Exercises sound judgement and strives for continuous improvement • Demonstrates optimism, resilience, flexibility, and openness to others' ideas • Learns while doing • Actively listens and asks thoughtful questions • Leverages available technology to achieve efficiency and results • Engages inclusively and with intent • Always acts with integrity • Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion • Excellent interpersonal relationship building skills RESPONSIBILITIES • Contribute to all talent lifecycle and HR functions, including recruiting, compensation, benefits, learning and development, performance management, promotion, employee relations, and succession and contingency planning • Responsible for supporting business lines in talent acquisition: • Coordinate requisition approval, prepare job postings, set interviews, and review employee referrals • Administer offer letters • Work with candidates on relocation, immigration, and mobility programs and processes • Responsible for new hire processing, including: • Employee onboarding and new hire documents • Employee background checks • Visa sponsorship • Contribute to the process of evaluation and review of compensation and performance • Assist with learning and development programs • Work collaboratively with departments outside of HR to deliver and support HR-related functions • Create, prepare, and analyze reportsThe job description and related application pertains to an opportunity with either MUFG Bank, Ltd., Canada Branch (“MUFG Bank Canada”) or MUFG Securities (Canada), Ltd.
