The Brokerage Finance & Strategy team supports the largest P&L at Robinhood. We oversee all financial aspects of Robinhood's core trading & net interest products in Brokerage including equities, options, margin lending, securities lending, uninvested cash and more across self-directed, managed accounts and institutional accounts.

As a Finance & Strategy Manager for Brokerage, you will play a key strategic role in linking operational and business decisions with financial outcomes. You will be responsible for partnering with cross functional partners across Product, Engineering and Ops to act as a financial steward of the company. You will also play a critical role in establishing and tracking revenue and expense targets and keeping leadership informed of key trends.

The ideal candidate will have proven experiences in past roles influencing business leaders and supporting decision making in rapidly evolving environments. This role requires someone who can navigate ambiguity and interdependence, and drive others towards tactical outcomes. This role has regular interaction with senior leadership at Robinhood and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.

 

This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA and New York, NY offices, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you’ll do

  • Synthesize and distill key financial business insights for leadership - analyze results, identify key metrics, assess risk and communicate risks & opportunities
  • Partner closely with business partners to communicate performance vs. budgets and forecasts and spearheading action items
  • Lead updating key financial slides and metrics weekly, monthly and quarterly
  • Ad-hoc projects to ensure a high level of data fidelity to support forecasting (working closely with Accounting, Procurement & Product teams)
  • Be a thought leader to improve and simplify processes, drive standardization, and build scalable solutions to support the next wave of Robinhood’s growth
  • Develop product and business annual plans, financial forecasts, and ongoing analysis of variances.
  • Prepare financial models and analyses to support business cases for growth, product builds, and other initiatives.

What you bring

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field
  • 7+ years of finance experience with progressively increasing levels of responsibility in financial planning and & analysis
  • Strong project management skills and ability to execute collaboratively across complex environments
  • Ability to influence decisions through effective verbal and written comms, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives
  • Excellent analytical skills, a passion for metrics, and the business judgment to balance the details while not losing sight of the big picture
  • Mastery of spreadsheets and presentation software, such as Google Sheets, Google slides, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and drive projects to completion
  • A positive attitude. This means a desire to work hard, be creative, stay curious, and maintain a can-do approach
  • Familiarity with analytical tools (SQL, Looker) and financial reporting software (Anaplan)
  • Experience working in consumer tech products and/or the financial services industry

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
