Job Summary

The Debt Capital Markets (DCM) Analyst supports the origination, structuring, and execution of debt financing solutions for corporate, financial institution, and sponsor clients. This role combines financial analysis, market research, client communication, and transaction execution to help deliver tailored financing across the public and private debt markets. The Analyst works alongside senior bankers on the DCM platform and collaborates with coverage & underwriting teams.

Pay Range: $74,993 - $130,669

Job Responsibilities:

Transaction Execution

  • Assist in the execution of pro rata syndications, term loan B underwriting, bond offerings, private placements, bridge facilities, and other debt financings

  • Prepare detailed transaction materials such as offering memoranda, client and investor presentations, capital commitments memos, and comparable transaction analyses

  • Coordinate with client coverage bankers, internal risk teams and legal counsel throughout the execution process

  • Support documentation review and verify transaction accuracy

Financial & Credit Analysis

  • Perform detailed analysis to evaluate capital structures and funding needs

  • Analyze historical performance, cash flow projections, leverage, liquidity, and covenant compliance

  • Support internal credit approval processes through comprehensive analytical work

Market & Investor Research

  • Monitor daily debt market developments, including yields, spreads, issuance levels, macroeconomic trends, and investor flows

  • Prepare market updates and provide insights on pricing, demand, and competitive dynamics to internal teams and clients

  • Benchmark peer issuers, comparable transactions, and sector-specific credit trends

Client Support & Origination

  • Develop client-ready pitch materials outlining financing alternatives, market conditions, and strategic recommendations

  • Assist senior team members in identifying new opportunities for refinancing, liability management, and capital structure optimization

  • Maintain internal databases on clients, issuers, and market activity

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with sector teams on integrated client coverage and transaction strategy

  • Work closely with Sales & Trading on deal pricing, book building, investor feedback, and distribution planning

  • Coordinate with Derivatives, FX, and Risk Management teams as needed

  • Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities

  • Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance training

  • Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, preferred

  • Experience in Capital Markets, Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, or related field.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including proficiency in financial modeling and Excel

  • Knowledge of debt capital markets, corporate finance principles, and credit analysis

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to synthesize complex topics succinctly

  • High attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment

  • Understanding of ratings methodologies (S&P, Moody’s, Fitch), preferred

  • Experience preparing client presentations and market updates, preferred

  • Attention to detail

  • Excellent credit analysis skills

  • Intellectual curiosity and a strong desire to learn debt markets.

  • Comfort working under tight timelines with accuracy and poise.

  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work within cross‑functional teams.

  • Strategic thinking and commercial awareness of client objectives.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to work well with a team and independently

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Minimal travel
