Position Summary
This role provides senior logistics process leadership to successfully deliver the Global Logistics Template as a part of the ERP Evolution programme. The role ensures that logistics processes covering Site and Commercial Warehousing, Sales and Distribution, and associated satellite solutions (e.g. Labelling (Loftware) and Cold Chain) are consistently implemented across GSK, enabling global standardisation, regulatory compliance, and value realisation through S/4HANA. The Logistics Process Director is accountable for executing, deploying, and operationalising the GPO‑owned logistics template within the ERP Evolution programme, working in close partnership with the GPO, programme leadership, IT, and global supply chain stakeholders.
Leadership and Deployment:
Lead delivery and deployment of the logistics processes within the ERP Evolution programme, ensuring end-to-end accountability across all GSC locations for Site and Commercial Warehousing, Sales and Distribution, and Satellite programmes.
Alignment with Logistics Global Process Owner (GPO):
The Logistics Global Process Owner (GPO) is the owner and governor of the global logistics template, standards, and end‑state process design. The Logistics Process Director will act as a key partner to the GPO and collaborate closely to ensure GSK’s logistics strategic direction and the ERP Evolution programme remain closely aligned. The role will drive fidelity to the approved global logistics template, adherence to global standards and process governance, and controlled management of deviations, localisation, and design decisions.
Data Journey Support:
Lead the data journey for logistics processes, including migration, construction, validation, and cleansing activities.
Testing and Validation:
Define business scenarios for testing activities and ensure that tests align with logistics requirements. Oversee validation of new processes to confirm alignment with programme objectives.
Process and Documentation:
Deliver GSC logistics business requirements and author global business process documentation, including GSOPs and related materials. Additionally, support training material creation and methodology refinement for programme roll-out.
Stakeholder and Change Management:
Manage stakeholder engagement across GSC locations, sites, local operating companies (LOCs), and central Supply Chain. Support change and engagement initiatives to drive successful adoption of the global template for S4/Hana.
Risk and Benefit Realisation:
Identify and resolve risks, issues, and interdependencies within logistic processes. Drive realization of programme efficiencies and benefits by standardising logistics.
Logistics Expertise: Extensive years of experience in logistics, including process ownership and/or operational roles.
Leadership: Proven experience in leading teams through complex programmes.
Change Leadership: Demonstrable ability to lead or execute large-scale change initiatives successfully.
Stakeholder Management: Track record of effective engagement across diverse technical and business environments, influencing stakeholders at various levels.
Documentation and Training: Capability to deliver clear, robust process documentation and training materials.
Global Collaboration: Ability to thrive in highly matrixed, cross-functional teams with proficiency in driving standardisation and system harmonisation.
Advanced degree in a relevant discipline or formal project / programme management certification.
Deep knowledge of production planning, manufacturing execution and industrial IT systems.
Experience working across multiple geographies and supporting multi-site roll-outs.
Strong coaching and people development skills with experience building capability in others.
Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and make pragmatic decisions in fast-moving programmes.
Prior experience integrating smart manufacturing or digital solutions with production processes.
Work Location:
This role is based in the United Kingdom (GSK HQ, London ) or Wavre, Belgium and offers a hybrid working model, combining on-site and remote work.
