Director of Procure to Pay

Job summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Operations Leader to join our team. As the Procurement Operations Leader, you will be responsible for leading the procurement team and ensuring that all policies and procedures are properly followed. You will play a critical role in the service delivery and operational performance of our business processes and will provide feedback and guidance to the procurement team. Additionally, you will serve as the liaison between senior leadership and key stakeholders to ensure that objectives and goals are being met.

Let’s talk job responsibilities:

  • Oversee the procurement operations function, including procure to pay, and be willing to reconcile or troubleshoot discrepancies as necessary.
  • Review and measure the performance of procurement against established metrics and past performance history.
  • Ensure that procurement operations policies and procedures are clearly defined, updated, and documented across the procure to pay landscape, and integrated with master data management, strategic sourcing, contract management, and T&E policies as necessary.
  • Manage capabilities and initiatives to support procurement performance and company goals over a multi-year horizon, coordinating with outside teams as necessary.
  • Ensure all staff have clearly defined and tracked performance objectives that are aligned with the organization's performance and quality standards.
  • Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each process and ensure goods and service delivery meets these expectations.
  • Interact with executive leadership and other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and timely resolution of issues.
  • Provide administrative decision making, leadership, and strategic planning to ensure the efficient and productive use of team members and financial resources.

Your experience and skills:

  • BS/BA in IT, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management.
  • 8+ years of experience in Procurement, preferably procurement operations.
  • Extensive expertise in Supply Chain Analytics, Procurement Operations Leadership, Supplier Risk Management, Change Management, and Customer Relationship Management.
  • Proven skills in Category Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Spend Management, Negotiations, and Contracting.
  • Demonstrated experience leading procurement operations and purchasing teams, including within shared services environments.
  • Preferred background in the financial services industry (insurance) and hands-on experience with Coupa or other procurement platforms.
