What HR Business Partners contribute to Cardinal Health

Human Resources designs, implements and delivers human resource programs and policies, including recruitment, talent management, culture and inclusion, compensation and benefits, among others. This function anticipates and plans for long-term human resource needs in alignment with business strategies.

HR Business Partners serve as strategic partners to business leaders to develop and implement strategies for human capital management, customer satisfaction and business performance. This family job supports assigned business units in addressing complex and technical Human Resources challenges, advocates for the business value of HR initiatives, and enables short-term and long-term business change.

Job Summary

The Director, HR Business Partner will support the Finance organization (inclusive of Treasury/Tax/Accounting/Internal Audit/Financial Planning & Analysis/Indirect Procurement/Investor Relations/Corporate Development) and will be responsible for delivering HR Services to Finance talent.

Responsibilities

  • Provides strategic HR leadership for the Finance function

  • Navigates and influences across and ensures integrity of the Cardinal Health HR model – globally, regionally, in country

  • Partners with COEs to drive actions in support of trends and analyzes how the Finance organization may be affected by them

  • Lead HR due diligence in partnership with Corporate Development

  • Deliver a comprehensive HR integrations and change management strategy to onboard acquired entities

  • Enable Finance talent recruitment strategy in partnership with Talent Acquisition

  • Leader of talent, succession and development strategies and actions; support Finance talent development

  • Partner with compensation to ensure a total rewards strategy for Finance organization

  • Responsible for developing the HR strategy

  • Influential business partnership across many regions

  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity; learns and then understands the business strategy; Connects business strategy to organizational and talent strategies

  • Works in a highly matrixed environment

  • Serves as a change leader

  • Culture steward responsible for voice-of-the-employee strategies and action plans

  • Supports leaders as strategist and coach

  • Develops and implements plans and actions to improve employee engagement, leader and team effectiveness, and culture and inclusion

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience preferred

  • 12+ years experience in related field preferred

  • Analytical & business acumen skills

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Demonstrated ability to influence

  • High level of personal motivation/self-starter

  • Ability to successfully navigate within a matrixed environment

  • Exceptional partnership with HR COE’s

  • High Executive presence

  • Strong Financial Acumen

  • Ability to travel 25%

Anticipated salary range: $116,500 - $197,010
