Job Summary: THIS IS A ND NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. Military membership is NOT required. This ND National Guard position is for a BUDGET ANALYST, Position Description Number T58107P1 and is part of the ND 119 Comptroller Flight, National Guard.

Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience and/or training must show possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-9 grade level or civilian equivalent experience, education, or training of 1) Experience developing budgetary plans, projections, and reports; 2) ; Experience in budget administration including formatting, presentation, and execution of a budget; 3) Experience analyzing long term financial data and projecting strategic financial plans for future research projects. OR EDUCATION: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must possess a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M, if related that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position.
