Job Summary**
As an Automation Jr. Engineer IV at Jabil, Inc., you will play a crucial role in supporting the design, development, and implementation of automated manufacturing systems. This position involves contributing to projects that enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity across our global operations.
Job Responsibilities**
* Assist in the design, development, and testing of automation solutions, including robotics, PLCs, HMIs, and vision systems.
* Support the integration of new automation equipment into existing manufacturing lines.
* Participate in troubleshooting and debugging of automation systems to identify and resolve issues.
* Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including schematics, manuals, and standard operating procedures.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and quality, to ensure successful automation deployments.
* Conduct basic programming and configuration of automation components under supervision.
* Perform routine maintenance and calibration of automation equipment.
* Assist in data collection and analysis to identify areas for process improvement through automation.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
* 1-3 years of experience in an automation or manufacturing engineering role, or relevant internship experience.
* Basic understanding of PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI development.
* Familiarity with robotic systems and their applications in manufacturing.
* Exposure to industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus).
* Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
* Basic problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
