POSITION OVERVIEW:

An opportunity is to support the accounting and entity management in Asia for real estate and other Apollo funds. The role is a varied role and key role to the successful running of the funds. The person should be enthusiastic, flexible and qualified. This role involves working closely with several departments within Apollo including investment and asset management team, legal, tax, and marketing and client services to ensure the preparation of accurate and timely accounting information and analysis, and the production of high quality financial and performance reporting.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monthly and quarterly reporting; working with the Fund administrator team (internally or externally).

  • Review of administrator & investment monthly accounting reports, capital call/distribution workings.

  • Co-ordinate with statutory auditors and tax consultants with regards to fund/SPV audit and tax matters/return filings and collate financial/ investment information required.

  • Assist in setting up new entity in various jurisdiction and pre-operation work.

  • Prepare investment funding requests and obtain internal approvals.

  • Assisting in the quarterly valuation process.

  • Completing corporate requests, investor questionnaires.

  • Liaising with counsel, administrators, banks & external vendors on various Fund/SPVs/AIF related matters.

  • Being involved in operational matters of the fund and Indian AIFs.

  • Review, allocate, assist in processing invoices and expenses for funds & SPVs; manage and oversee fund treasury activities.

  • Calculation of management fees and carried interest, if any.

  • Working with Apollo colleagues across Hongkong, India and London.

  • Ad Hoc requests/projects

Qualifications & Experience

  • Chartered Accountant with 5-7 years of experience.

  • CA, CPA or equivalent and IFRS & U.S. GAAP and technical accounting expertise preferred.

  • Previous fund finance/fund audit/fund administration experience is a plus

  • Exhibit strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Moderate with Excel.

  • Experience with general ledger accounting software a plus.

  • Individual must be diligent and work well in a team environment.

  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.

  • Demonstrate ability in taking initiative.

  • A forward thinking, creative individual with high ethical standards.
