Senior Manager, Operations Finance - SMDD Channel

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive P&L management, including reporting, analysis, insights and influence to the SMDD channel team, helping the team deliver on its financial commitments.  This role involves conducting detailed financial analyses, developing business case studies, assessing bottler financial performance, and supporting the development of channel strategies. The ideal candidate will possess substantial expertise in these areas and demonstrate the ability to execute specialized and complex projects independently, while collaborating closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders within the organization. 

Focus, Scope, & Impact: 

Business partnering to channel team  

• Finance business partner to channel team to provide channel financial performance update, drive actionable insights, and impact business decisions. 

• Lead specific channel performance discussion in cross channel meeting 

• Drive RGM financial analysis in collaboration with the channel team 

• Identify opportunities with Channel team to improve topline performance and profitability  

System Channel P&L Reporting and Analysis: 

• Enhance System Channel P&L reporting and provide actionable insights. 

• Develop high-quality standard reports, including historical data, Rolling Estimate (RE), and Business Plan (BP), to drive informed decision-making based on channel profitability. 

• Analyze historical ATL&BTL spending by channel and drive strategic insights. 

• Support the development and enhancement of system channel strategies. 

Business Case and Investment Analysis: 

• Conduct thorough financial and strategic analyses to evaluate consumer/customer investments (e.g., BTL investment by channel) and guide resource allocation decisions 

• Support ad-hoc projects, with comprehensive business case and investment analyses.  

• Develop and implement margin optimization strategies across the value chain. 

Key Success Parameters: 

Knowledge & Experience:  

• Over 5 years of experience in financial planning or commercial finance roles. 

• Leadership and management experience with strong communication and influencing skills at all levels. 

Work Focus:  

• Provide a holistic understanding of business performance & P&L management.  

• Execute end-to-end business planning within the Franchise, working cross-functionally within the organization and coordinating with the Operational Finance Lead.  

• Utilize a fact-based, analytical, and strategic approach in collaboration with bottlers.  

• Deliver core financial strategies, practices, and solutions to sustainably grow business profitability. 

Communication Focus:  

• Partner internally and externally to effectively drive financial outcomes and build alignment on key initiatives and metrics.  

• Communicate with cross finance functions (planning, resource allocation, customers, and commercial finance operations).  

• Collaborate with other OU teams within the network organization.  

• Engage with other key regional stakeholders.
