Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and maintain financial MIS infrastructure and to monitor the production of internal management reporting, annual budget and rolling forecast processes to ensure accurate and timely data available for BU/SUs and the management.

  • Implement and maintain data warehouse, FTP system and other financial related systems to facilitate effective financial information for BU/SUs, identify potential areas for improvement or automation.

  • Lead discussions with BU/SUs to understand their needs on management reports and financial information, formulate and implement solutions to meet their needs.

  • Participate in system development projects in relation to data warehouse, financial MIS systems automation. Formulate and communicate user requirements with IT and/or vendors, take lead in UAT and maintenance after production.

  • Work closely with IT and external vendors to troubleshoot problems and propose improvements to the system.

  • Evaluate and analyze the Bank’s performance regularly using financial data and provide recommendations for improvement to the management.

  • Perform variance analysis on financial results and key financial indicators from various dimensions.

  • Maintain regular communications with BU/SUs to gain understanding on their financial performance.

  • Prepare financial information for ad hoc analysis to support the management on business decisions.

  • Formulate and implement management accounting tools such as cost allocation and profit sharing.

  • Prepare accurate presentation of financial management information to support Audit Committee Meeting, Board Meeting and Staff Communication Forum etc.

  • Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members as required to ensure that they are competent to perform the jobs.

  • Perform ad hoc projects and assignments as required

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Accounting or related disciplines or a qualified accountant.

  • Minimum 6-8 years’ experience in management reporting and MIS in banking industry.

  • Strong analytical skill and in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, bank’s accounting policies & procedures, banking MIS systems

  • Good communication skills and able to communicate effectively at all levels.

  • Good computer skills; Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Access and SQL

  • Good command of written & spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
