Your role: Workplace Productivity & Collaboration Engineer
We’re looking for a passionate Productivity and Collaboration Engineer to help us manage and enhance our modern workplace for all of Elanco.
The Productivity and Collaboration Engineer will work within the TechOps Workplace team covering Productivity and Collaboration services globally in M365, requiring expertise in Microsoft M365 services, its management and protection, as well as deployment and support.
The Productivity and Collaboration Engineer will work on various workplace services, also working closely with broader application teams and our enterprise architecture community to enhance the modern workplace across the organisation.
The Team
The TechOps team was created following the IPO of Elanco, separating from Elanco’s previous parent company Eli Lilly & Company. TechOps is responsible for all IT Infrastructure across the enterprise and we take opportunities to think differently, build for the future and leverage modern technologies, services and processes.
Your Responsibilities:
Delivering new Workplace requirements and projects.
Implementing production changes following Elanco’s Change Control process to ensure smooth implementation.
Supporting the architects in making decisions and creating designs for Workplace services (e.g. M365).
Creating and reviewing Workplace documentation.
Troubleshooting and fixing more complex Workplace issues that cannot be resolved by L1 and L2 teams.
Working with InfoSec on the implementation of the M365 security roadmap.
Providing technical validation of changes that are being implemented across the M365 estate.
Identifying opportunities to optimize and modernize the Workplace Architecture, driving cost efficiencies.
Identifying and positioning new Workplace technologies that yield competitive advantage.
Serving on various forums to analyse projects and programs to ensure they are technically sound, will do no harm, and will deliver the expected outcomes.
Establishing strong partnerships across the architecture community and Information Security, helping to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
Where required, deep diving key initiatives to help overcome major incidents, complex problems and/or realise opportunities.
Embedding security, privacy, data protection and quality assurance across the Workplace estate.
Engaging in the community (internally and externally) across multiple channels, looking to share, educate and inspire.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
Extensive experience across Workplace Services, including client and productivity.
Extensive experience with MS Power Platform [Power Apps | Pages | Automate | Virtual Agent | Dynamics] - specifically Dynamics.
Extensive experience with SharePoint - specifically migrations and file management [Archive | SP Document Governance | Data migrations].
Experience with SMTP and Application email services (e.g. SendGrid & Valimail)
General knowledge of M365 Exchange online (email security and best practices).
Experience of the Purview/Priva suite (Information Protection, IRM, DLP & Data Lifecycle Management).
General M365 Application knowledge.
General understanding of Entra.
Experience with Lucid Chart and Monday.com would be beneficial but not essential.
Extensive experience in infrastructure engineering environments.
Extensive experience in an operations environment, with a basic understanding of ITIL.
Extensive experience in technology project leadership, managing and advancing complex, global environments.
Extensive experience designing and delivering enterprise technology solutions.
Experience working with public cloud services (e.g. Microsoft O365)
Experience working with automation solutions (Azure Automation & Logic Apps).
Experience working with GitHub.
Demonstrated influence and communication skills across all levels of IT and third parties.
Demonstrated strength in facilitation skills.
Strong organizational and communications skills with multiple examples of being able to convey complex ideas in a manner that resulted in a definitive direction and result.
