Job Description:

About the Role:

Our Marietta, GA facility is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronics Control Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize electronic control systems within our tea manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will ensure minimal downtime, support automation improvements, and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.

  • Install, maintain, and repair electronic control systems, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and instrumentation used in tea processing and packaging lines.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and automation faults in tea packing machines, tea delivery and dust collection equipment, blending systems, robotics and other support equipment.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on control panels, drives, and automation equipment. • Calibrate sensors (temperature, weight, pressure) used in tea production processes.
  • Maintain and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Work closely with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and improve system efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and automation upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and company safety standards.
  • Assist in installation and commissioning of new machinery and control systems.

Important Details:  

  • This is a full-time permanent role on the second (2nd) shift, Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays. Overtime may be available, depending on the needs of the business. The anticipated starting wage range for this position is $25.00 to $34.55.

About You:

You’ll fit right in if you have:

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field. (preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial automation or manufacturing environment (food or beverage industry preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff).
  • Experience with VFDs, servo systems, and industrial communication protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to work shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns when required.
  • Experience in tea processing or food manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with HACCP and food safety standards.
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • This is a maintenance-focused position, requiring close collaboration with mechanical technicians.
  • Experience in electro-mechanical maintenance is a significant advantage.
  • Must be able to walk up and down stairs as needed to attend meetings and go to the Production floor if needed.
