What You’ll Do / Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Workday integrations (using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Web Services, REST, SOAP)
Build and maintain Workday Studio custom integrations and components
Build and maintain BIRT forms
Develop Workday Reports (Advanced, Matrix, Composite) and build complex calculated fields to support integration and reporting requirements
Develop and maintain Workday Prism Analytics pipelines: ingest, transform, publish data flows between Workday and external systems, and support Prism data modeling and reporting
Develop or adapt Workday Orchestrations / Business Processes / Workday Alerts as needed
Work with functional teams (HR, Finance, Payroll) to translate requirements into technical designs
Build, test, monitor, and support data flows and integrations across systems
Configure Security Groups and Domain/Business Process Security policies to secure data flows, enforce data access, and manage security rules in Prism / Workday Integrations
Troubleshoot, monitor, and resolve issues in production or QA environments
Perform system upgrades, regression testing, and impact analysis to ensure integrations continue to function across Workday releases
Participate in design reviews, code reviews, documentation, and adoption of best practices
Mentor junior developers / analysts on Workday development and integration practices
Required / Must-Have Qualifications & Skills
Hands-on experience with Workday Studio development and integration design
Experience with Workday Prism Analytics (building pipelines, transformations, publishing data)
Experience with Workday integrations: EIB, Core Connectors, Web Services, REST/SOAP, integrations (inbound/outbound) and BIRT reporting tools
Sound understanding of Workday domain objects, data model, security, business processes, calculated fields
Experience in data modeling, ETL, data transformation logic
Proficiency in XML, XSLT, JSON, and parsing / mapping data formats
Experience with API design and consumption (REST, SOAP)
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning of data flows
Ability to work across functional and technical teams and to understand HR / Finance domain logic
Strong communication skills, requirement gathering, technical documentation
Prior Workday certification(s) (especially in Studio, Prism, Integration) or equivalent demonstrable experience
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
Workday certification(s) in Studio, Prism Analytics, Integration
Experience with Workday Reporting, calculated fields, advanced reporting
Experience with Workday HCM / Financials modules
Familiarity with cloud tools or analytics platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, etc.)
Experience with Postman
Scripting / programming skills in Python, SQL, or similar for auxiliary tasks
Experience with data warehousing, transformation, and analytics best practices
Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, automation
Agile / Scrum development experience
