About the role

We are currently seeking an Engineer to join us in a 12-month contract position (parental leave cover), based in our Melbourne Support Office in Burnley.

As an Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining our products and services across our mobile and web applications in a cross functional team environment. In this role you will have the opportunity to be a key part of some exciting and innovative projects across GenAI. 

You will implement solutions using contemporary mobile and web technologies as well as a variety of other programming languages and technologies. You will follow agile software development practices such as test-driven development, continuous delivery and pair programming.

Who we’re looking for

You will be a detail oriented, outcome driven problem solver who is well versed with working within agile environments. As a passionate engineer, you love keeping up with the latest trends in technology and are passionate about the use of AI to enhance customer experience and improve business efficiencies. You are all about knowledge sharing and upskilling and possess excellent collaboration and communication skills.


You’ll Need:

  • Experience with React Native application development and deployment to a production environment is essential (ideally at least 2 years)
  • 3-5 years of software development experience that includes developing mobile and web applications 
  • Experience with React, React Native, Nodejs + TypeScript
  • Experience consuming RESTful API and JSON
  • Strong foundations in mobile development, including bringing applications to production
  • Good knowledge of SOLID principles
  • Excellent knowledge of software engineering practices like agile software development, continuous deployment, behaviour driven development, code review, design documentation, infrastructure as code, etc.
  • Knowledge of container technologies (e.g.: Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) is a bonus
  • Knowledge of Ecommerce implementation is a bonus
  • Knowlege of creating and consuming GraphQL services is a bonus
  • Experience working with AI technologies would be highly regarded
