Summary
We are looking for a short-term Senior QA Analyst to support quality efforts on our upcoming open-world game. In this role, you will be embedded within a development pod, working closely with designers, artists, and engineers to test mission design, gameplay systems, and open-world content. You will take ownership of test planning and execution, perform upstream testing in Unreal Engine, and provide clear, actionable feedback to the team.
Core Responsibilities
- Champion quality as an embedded tester within an assigned development pod.
- Create, maintain, and execute test plans within your area of focus.
- Organize and execute PC and console testing across relevant content areas.
- Conduct upstream testing directly within Unreal Editor.
- Collaborate with game designers to ensure world-class mission design and open-world experiences.
- Build strong working relationships with development partners to ensure clear communication of QA processes and priorities.
- Partner with other QA team members to identify and implement process improvements.
- Provide progress and status updates through clear written and verbal communication.
Core Qualifications
- 3+ years of game QA experience as a Senior QA Analyst or equivalent role.
- At least one shipped AAA title.
- Experience with Unreal Engine (preferably UE5).
- Proven ability to create and maintain test plans using tools such as TestRail, QMetry, or Zephyr.
- Experience with bug tracking and reporting tools (e.g., Jira).
- Background supporting Mission Design teams and related content.
- Experience providing QA support across multiple platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Passion for delivering high-quality player experiences.

- This is a short-term, 3-month engagement with the opportunity to extend.
- Role is on-site in Santa Monica, CA.
- Office is located near downtown Santa Monica – near metro and freeways.
The pay range for this position is $25-$30 per hour. Actual compensation is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
