Hiring Unit:
Desautels Faculty of Management


Position Summary:

Under the direction of Desautels Vice-Dean, Programs; in close collaboration with the faculty Local Wellness Advisor, the Wellness Ambassador Program Coordinator may perform the listed tasks:

- Onboard and train the incoming Wellness Ambassadors.
- Oversee the weekly operations of the Wellness Ambassador Program, including implementation of the communication plan, and coordination of the annual schedule of events.
- Facilitate the maintenance of current wellness activities and contribute to the creation of new wellness initiatives within the McGill Desautels Faculty of Management.
- Act as a resource for planning, promoting, scheduling, setting up, hosting, and following up on wellness related events as needed. 
- Assist the Resilience and Wellness (RAW) committee members with tasks such as taking minutes, organizing events, and preparing documents and reports as needed.
- Liaise with RAW committee members to identify key wellness related needs within the faculty, gather materials related to wellness education, and produce promotional materials.
- Acts as a liaison between the unit and internal or external parties, such as fellow McGill students, to provide navigation assistance or information regarding wellness resources.
The list of functions outlined above is representative and not a complete and detailed list of tasks which may be performed by the Wellness Ambassador Program Coordinator.

 


Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

Applicant must be passionate about health promotion and student wellness. Great verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated experience with group work and event organization. Organized with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to receive and relay information with accuracy. Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team. Knowledge of the McGill University student resources and the McGill Desautels Faculty of Management undergraduate and graduate programs is an asset. Demonstrated ease and flexibility with technological applications with a proven ability to work using Microsoft Office and social media platforms. Experience in the production of posters and promotional material with a proven ability to work with Canva or similar applications is an asset. 

Advanced English, spoken and written, is a requirement.


Must be a currently registered undergraduate student in the Desautels Faculty of Management.

High School Diploma 2 Years Related Experience

Hourly Salary:

(AMUSE C) $21.00
