What is the role?

Warehouse administrators oversee the management of stock within the organization. This includes receiving, issuing and dispatching stock, and handling communication between freight companies and warehouse customers. This role is responsible for the data entry and inventory of all stock, ensuring inventory is accurate and that the warehouse has optimum levels of sale-able inventory. This involves processing receipts, taking records, documenting order details, process returns, investigates causes of negative bins, damages, shorts and making sure the inventory is slotted correctly to prevent picking and cycle counting errors. The incumbent also provides analytical and administrative duties for the warehouse by maintaining inventory data, coordinating projects and assisting with general duties within the warehouse.

Hourly rate starting at $20/hour

What will you do?

  • Register orders, generate add-ons and unscheduled orders, create transfer documents for tracking purposes.
  • Audit orders, research and fix negative bins, as well as using EXCEL to compile reports as needed.
  • Receiving and handling returns from stores, create invoices, complete merchandise transfers and request.
  • Maintain accurate stock by receiving and organizing items, setting up appropriate locations for new items, relocating exiting ones and removing discontinue items from the inventory.
  • Maintain and determine reasons for items on Short Report, as well as keeping track of spoilage and waste items by investigating cause of damage and adjusting inventory with correct reason code.
  • Monitor inventory processes at all levels, (i.e. registering new items, replenishment, old items, etc.)
  • Conduct cycle counts, physical inventory counts and investigate and correct inventory discrepancies.
  • Provide administrative support and perform other jobs assign by the Facility Manager
  • Prepare load sheets, create BOLs, dispatch trailers for 3PL deliveries, communicate delivery changes and provide point of contact for the loader(s).
  • What will you need to succeed?

    Education and Experience

  • Background in Procurement and Supply Chain management
  • Minimum 3 years in inventory management
  • 1-3 years of general office duties
  • 2-year program in Administration and/or certificate in Warehouse Operations
  • Community College is preferred
  • Knowledge and Skills

  • Motivated and action oriented
  • Good time management and ability to uses his/her time effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and attend to a broad range of activities
