The VP, Product Software Engineering – Agentic AI (TAA North America) is responsible for defining and executing the end-to-end agentic AI strategy, platform capabilities, and delivery across the TAA North America (NA) portfolio (Professional, Performance, and Research & Advisory). The individual provides executive leadership for a dedicated organization that builds, ships, and scales agentic workflows and AI-powered customer experiences embedded into TAA products.
This leader drives the evolution of the technology stack and operating model required for agent-native delivery—including multi-agent orchestration, workflow/event architecture, API-first integrations, AI evaluation and monitoring, and security- and governance-aligned design. The role establishes a human-AI teaming operating model where engineers orchestrate AI agents rather than performing all tasks directly, shifting measurement from output volume to experiment velocity.
This role requires close partnership with TAA NA business unit leadership, Product Management, Customer Success, Sales, Platform Engineering, and Enterprise AI governance teams to connect delivery to business outcomes (growth, retention, and net-new AI-driven revenue). The role balances rapid experimentation with enterprise-grade reliability, ensuring AI capabilities are trustworthy, measurable, and commercially impactful.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end delivery of agentic AI capabilities from rapid prototyping through production hardening, ensuring reliability, scalability, and customer value.
Create and operationalize an AI product development lifecycle (LLMOps/MLOps, evaluation & validation, monitoring, incident response) aligned to responsible AI and enterprise governance standards.
Define and continuously refine the portfolio-level vision, roadmap, and measurable outcomes for agentic AI across all TAA NA product lines.
Partner with Platform Engineering to deliver self-service AI capabilities through internal developer platforms, enabling consistent governance and scalable adoption.
Drive technical innovation and modernization of the AI and application stack to maintain market leadership while reducing time-to-ship and cost-to-deliver.
Establish the reference patterns for agentic workflows (multi-agent orchestration, workflow/event systems, tool-use patterns, data access, and APIs) and drive adoption across teams.
Embed customer-intimacy practices (sponsor customers, feedback loops, usage instrumentation) and partner with Sales/Customer Success/Product Management to enable commercialization and adoption.
Build strategic technology alliances with hyperscalers and AI ecosystem partners; negotiate and manage key vendor relationships.
Serve as an executive advisor to TAA NA business and product leaders on the agentic AI strategy, priorities, and delivery plan.
Own the operating plan, budgets, and resource capacity planning for the agentic AI program, including productivity and efficiency targets.
Ensure close alignment with Security, Privacy, Legal, and Compliance stakeholders to deliver secure, auditable, and governed AI capabilities.
Other Duties:
Manages time and company resources appropriately
Represents Wolters Kluwer at industry events, thought leadership forums, and customer events
Performs other duties as assigned by leadership
