This role is responsible for designing and evolving the foundational platforms that power operational systems, machine-to-machine interactions, analytics, and executive decision-making across the organization.
As a senior leader within the technology organization, you will define scalable, interoperable, and activation-ready data architecture that enables real-time workflows, automation, and performance visibility. You will serve as a key execution partner to the SVP, Core Engineering and Chief Technology Officer, translating strategic priorities into pragmatic platform roadmaps and architectural standards.
This role requires a balance of long-term architectural thinking and hands-on execution leadership to ensure data is embedded directly into business processes and not just surfaced in dashboards.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Define and evolve the enterprise data architecture, including data lakes, operational data stores, and business intelligence applications to support an AI-driven approach to forecasting, analytics, advertising intelligence, and product features in an environment organized around live content streaming and decisioning
Establish architectural standards for interoperability, scalability, governance, and data product design
Architect real-time and near real-time data pipelines that power operational workflows and automated decisioning
Enable machine-to-machine interactions through event-driven systems and standardized service interfaces
Ensure consistent, trusted delivery of emerging modern human data interfaces that support executive reporting and data interrogation
Drive modernization efforts to reduce data silos and simplify cross-platform integrations
Partner closely with engineering, product, AI/ML, analytics, and operations teams to embed data directly into revenue, content, and audience systems
Translate CTO strategy into executable architectural roadmaps and platform investments
Lead and develop high-performing architecture and platform teams
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Proven experience leading enterprise-scale data architecture initiatives in complex, multi-product organizations
Deep expertise in modern cloud-native data platforms, distributed systems, streaming technologies, and API-driven architectures
Strong understanding of operational data systems and how to embed data into real-time business processes
Experience enabling machine learning systems through scalable data pipelines and production-grade infrastructure
Demonstrated ability to define architectural standards and drive adoption across federated teams
Strong executive communication skills with experience presenting architectural strategy and tradeoffs to senior leadership
Experience building and mentoring high-performing engineering or architecture teams
Experience with data technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, and standards such as Iceberg and Parquet, how those technologies are hosted in AWS and other cloud platforms, and how to deliver that data in AI applications powered by Claude, Gemini, and OpenAI

Experience in media, streaming, advertising technology, or digital content ecosystems
Background in designing data platforms that support monetization, personalization, or audience intelligence
Familiarity with enterprise-scale executive reporting environments
Experience driving platform standardization across distributed business units

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $247,000.00-300,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
