Volunteer opportunities include supporting our allied health therapy teams working with children and adults, supporting our Lifestyles, sports and accommodation clients, or gaining experience in our corporate services. 

Details of the role:

During the upcoming summer holidays, the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Respite Team will be hosting a variety of events to entertain our young clients. The dates, times and programs can all be found below. These volunteer opportunities would be appropriate for those people who are studying education, allied health, high school students, or those looking to give back to the community. You can come and do 1 day, or multiple days.

Dates & Times:

The program is running Monday - Friday.

Dates:    Tuesday 6th January 2026 - Friday 23rd January 2026 (excluding weekends)

Times: 8:45am - 4:15pm

Tasks & Responsibilities:

In the case of all the programs running, we are looking for volunteers who will help with set up and pack down of activities, encourage participation, engagement with clients and staff, and general participation.

Tues 6/1 - Backyard Waterpark

Beat the heat in our backyard water wonderland! Dive into sprinkler games, burst water balloon piñatas and hunt for frozen treasures.

Wed 7/1 - Puppet Masters & Playtime Magic

world of storytelling and silliness! Watch a puppet show, then craft your own puppets and perform with friends.

Thur 8/1 - Jungle Jamboree & Animal Adventures

Roar into a wild day of animal fun! Go on a photo safari, play jungle games, act out your favourite animals and make nature-themed art.

Mon 12/1 - Scavenger Hunt

Grab your checklist and set off on a playful scavenger hunt filled with intriguing clues and nature-inspired discoveries.

Wed 14/1 - Garden Splash and Summer Dash

Get ready to cool off and get creative! Dive into water tag, draw with popsicles and enjoy summer games in our backyard water wonderland.

Thur 15/1 - DIY Cubby House

Team up to design, paint and build your very own cubby house, then enjoy arts, crafts and outdoor games in the backyard.

Fri 16/1 - Ice Cream Makers & Tasty Creators

Join us for a day of sweet fun and frosty delights! Choose toppings and craft your own scoop to create a delicious treat.

Tues 20/1 - Outdoor Obstacle Course

Our playful outdoor obstacle course is designed for all abilities! With surprises around every corner, it’s a day of movement, laughter and adventure.

Wed 21/1 - Pizza and Pastry Workshop

In this mouthwatering workshop, you’ll create your own pizzas and pastries from scratch then enjoy the delicious results.

Thur 22/1 - Sports Carnival

Join our lively day of races, relays and team challenges in our backyard sports carnival. Cheer from sidelines or jump into action – there’s something for everyone.

Fri 23/1 - Mud Play & Messy Fun

In this messy adventure, you’ll explore textures, build muddy creations and enjoy outdoor play. Then, cool down with water games and get clean

Role requirements: 

  • 16 years and above 

  • NDIS Worker Screening 

  • Working with Children Check (NSW)
