Junior Robotics Tech

Goal For The Role / Why we need this

This position requires a versatile technical professional who can bridge hardware and software domains while demonstrating strong problem-solving and communication skills. The ideal candidate will develop deep knowledge of our production robotics systems, combining mechanical troubleshooting expertise with software debugging capabilities. They must be able to navigate system architectures, read code efficiently, and know when to escalate issues versus pursue independent solutions. Key attributes include being resourceful under pressure, maintaining clear documentation. We're seeking someone who can work independently while effectively collaborating across teams, a hands-on problem solver who knows how to find answers and drive solutions forward.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES for Junior Robotics Tech

Software

  • Know how to use git repository and install test SW and or restore the robot after use
  • Will need to be able to sort through code to help with troubleshooting
  • Will need to be comfortable with command line and Linux
  • Keep up-to date with the latest stable releases from the SW team
  • Maintain a strong understanding of System architecture

Hardware

  • Will need to troubleshoot robots and mechatronics systems when having physical problems
  • Will need to preform Mechanical, Electronic, Motion control and Power systems maintenance
  • Will need to have a habit of documenting the unknown to make things easier for people to learn from what was tried and worked
  • Will be in-touch and at times working closely with both the hardware team and the software team

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Demonstrates sustained attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong mechatronics background
  • Basic-to-intermediate coding skills
  • Basic knowledge of how Docker and docker-compose works
  • Basic knowledge of bash
  • Excellent diagnostic abilities
  • Clear communication style
  • Self-directed worker
  • Quick learner
  • System-level understanding
  • Basic understanding of networking

Nice to have SKILLS:

  • Release management experience
  • Basic understanding of camera arrays
  • Basic hardware integration experience
  • Documentation discipline

 

 

 

Salary Range: $90,000-$105/K

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
