Prudential is seeking a Vice President, MarTech Portfolio and Chief Product Owner (“CPO”) to serve as the senior leader responsible for value realization and strategic delivery of our marketing technology platforms, tools and capabilities. This role will sit in the newly formed Growth & Channel Activation team which manages the value chain across our owned channels and Mar-Tech investments. The role will bring business opportunities and technological capabilities together to drive measurable business outcomes. The CPO is expected to drive transformation and outcomes through collaborative leadership with business unit partners, the application of best practices, standardization and cross-functional alignment.

The CPO will act as the executive sponsor and owner of the company’s core set of enterprise customer journeys, ensuring that Martech capabilities are consistently aligned with customer experience, growth and retention strategies.

This role carries matrixed accountability across the end-to-end technology portfolio including data, analytics, consent management and other enterprise services to ensure seamless integration with Martech roadmaps and maximize ROI from shared capabilities. Success in this role will look like:

  • Demonstrable lift in Martech ROI (adoption, usage, business outcomes).
  • Improved speed-to-market for campaigns, personalization and new experiences.
  • Standardized practices for measurement, reporting and governance.
  • Clear ownership of enterprise journeys, with measurable improvements in CX, conversion and retention.
  • Stronger integration of data and enterprise services into Martech delivery.
  • Increased cross-functional alignment and stakeholder trust in Martech capabilities.

What you can expect:

Strategic Leadership

Collaborate with senior leaders across Prudential in order to perform, align on and gain required commitments for the following:

  • Own the end-to-end Martech portfolio (direct and indirect relationships), including Adobe Experience Cloud, personalization platforms, analytics and ancillary Martech tools.
  • Translate business objectives and corporate imperatives into cross-platform roadmaps and operating plans that span customer journeys, channels and data.
  • Serve as the executive-level voice for Martech investments, ensuring alignment with enterprise growth and customer experience goals.
  • Sponsor and steward core enterprise customer journeys, ensuring they are enabled with the right Martech capabilities, data, commitments and ownership structure.

Portfolio Management & Prioritization

  • Establish and run portfolio governance processes that balance capacity, priorities and ROI.
  • Ensure that use cases with cross-journey value are elevated above siloed product-level tasks.
  • Track, measure, and report ROI from Martech investments to senior stakeholders.

Integration & Standards

  • Act as the “glue” across Martech products and enterprise services in order to orchestrate data, content, personalization, consent management and performance measurement.
  • Partner with Global Technology team to align on product roadmaps, resource allocation and business alignment.
  • Partner with Data/Analytics to enable end-to-end visibility of performance and enterprise customer insights.

Team & Journey Leadership

  • Oversee a team of Martech product owners, setting standards for the product management discipline and product roadmaps.
  • Manage Mar-Tech enablement team responsible ensuring integrations across platforms for go-to-market activation. 
  • Assign and manage product ownership of enterprise journeys, ensuring accountability and cross-functional alignment.
  • Matrix-manage dotted-line responsibilities for data and enterprise services product owners to ensure alignment with Martech strategy.
  • Mentor and develop product owners, ensuring consistent practices in backlog management, use case documentation, and stakeholder engagement.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure BA and architecture resources are aligned to support cross-platform initiatives efficiently.
  • Champion agile practices, test-and-learn loops, and shorter cycle times across the Martech portfolio.
  • Serve as key representative to critical and strategic MarTech vendor relationships. 

What you'll need:

  • 12+ years of experience in Marketing Technology, Digital Product Management, or related roles.
  • Proven track record leading cross-functional, enterprise-scale Martech and CX programs.
  • Strong expertise in Adobe Experience Cloud (or equivalent enterprise Martech suite) in the context of complex enterprise system environments. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage portfolios of product owners and deliver ROI on large technology investments.
  • Experience owning or sponsoring enterprise-level customer journeys.
  • Experience working with data and enterprise service functions in a matrixed environment.
  • Executive-level communication skills and proven ability to influence across Marketing, IT, Data, and C-Suite stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of agile ways of working and modern product management practices.
  • Experience balancing insource/outsource models for execution at scale.

    What we offer you:

    Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $200,000.00 to $270,500.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
