The Vice President, FP&A - Solutions serves as the senior finance leader partnering with the Chief Global Solutions Officer and the Solutions Business Unit (BU) leadership team. This role is responsible for shaping financial strategy, driving profitable growth, and delivering forward-looking insights that unlock value across the company’s portfolio of solution families.

Acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, this leader will translate BU strategy into actionable financial plans, drive disciplined investment, and provide thought leadership on growth, margin expansion, and return on investment. This Vice President, FP&A plays a critical role in scaling solutions and influencing decisions across a global, matrixed organization.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • 13–15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, with meaningful exposure to business unit finance or Corporate FP&A.

  • Experience supporting product-led or technology-enabled businesses strongly preferred.

  • Deep expertise in strategic planning, forecasting, investment analysis, and executive-level decision support.

  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across matrixed organizations.

  • Advanced skills in financial modeling, scenario planning, and executive storytelling.

  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities.

  • Results-driven mindset with the ability to balance long-term strategy and near-term execution.

Impact You'll Make:

Key Accountabilities

  • Serve as the primary finance partner to the Solutions BU leadership team.

  • Drive profitable revenue growth, margin optimization, and disciplined capital allocation across key products and solution offerings.

  • Convert strategy into integrated plans, forecasts, and performance management frameworks.

  • Deliver data-driven insights and recommendations to senior Finance and executive leadership.

  • Support M&A and partnerships through financial modeling, valuation, and integration planning.

  • Manage and develop the Solutions FP&A team.

Strategic Finance & Business Partnership

  • Partner with BU leaders to shape and execute Solutions strategy across pricing, bundling, and lifecycle management.

  • Prioritize and evaluate investments (product development, solution build, GTM initiatives) using ROI, NPV, scenario and sensitivity analyses.

  • Provide financial leadership for new product introductions, solution launches, and market expansion initiatives.

  • Advise on strategic trade-offs between growth, margin, and cash flow.

Financial Planning, Forecasting & Performance Management

  • Lead the BU’s annual planning process, quarterly forecasts, and long-range strategic planning activities.

  • Develop and maintain KPI frameworks to measure performance across revenue, margins, and key product/solution profitability.

  • Analyze performance drivers vs. plan/forecast and recommend corrective actions.

  • Produce executive-ready reporting, dashboards, and narrative insights for senior leadership and board-level consumption.

  • Assess and optimize revenue models (subscription, usage-based, services, hybrid models).

Resource Allocation & Expense Leadership

  • Oversee operating expense planning and management for the Solutions BU as well as other Solutions aligned resources and expenses, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.

  • Challenge cost effectiveness, drive operating leverage, and promote scalability across teams and functions.

  • Review and approve major investment requests, ensuring returns align with strategic and financial objectives.

M&A, Partnerships & Strategic Initiatives

  • Evaluate acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic partnerships relevant to the Solutions portfolio.

  • Lead financial due diligence, synergy assessments, and integration planning from the BU perspective.

  • Track and report post-close performance relative to deal model.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Manage and develop a high-performing finance team focused on insights, analytics, and strategic partnership.

  • Set clear expectations, development plans, and succession pathways for team members.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.

Cross-Functional & Global Leadership (Matrixed Operating Model)

  • Serve as the senior finance leader within a global, matrixed environment across Engineering, Solutions, Sales, Marketing, and Operations.

  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to align on capacity allocation, investment priorities, and solution performance.

  • Standardize key financial constructs—unit economics, margin definitions, success metrics—to drive consistent decision-making globally.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Pay Scale Information :

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $193,500.00 - $406,500.00 *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations.

Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
