About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced and driven transport professional to manage and optimise the performance of our key trucking suppliers across import/export FCL & LCL.

This role will oversee suppliers across Australia, ensuring the highest standards of operational delivery, compliance, and collaboration.

You’ll play a pivotal role in driving supplier performance through data-driven insights, strong relationship management, and operational excellence. Working closely with Operations, Procurement, Product, Accounts Payable, Sales, and Customer Experience, you’ll ensure seamless coordination between our internal teams and external partners.

This role will report to the Area Supplier Operations Manager (Oceania) and form part of an exciting growing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly business reviews with transport suppliers, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage the operational performance of transport suppliers involved with FCL & LCL  consignments for import or export.
  • Monitor, report, and analyse transport supplier KPIs to identify and address performance gaps.
  • Review and resolve EDI/API integration issues in collaboration with internal teams and transport suppliers.
  • Act as an escalation for transport supplier issues and disputes including invoicing.
  • Record, manage, and follow up on supplier safety incidents and HSE compliance.
  • Support transport supplier onboarding and capacity management activities.
  • Work closely with suppliers on new business implementations, including site visits and process alignment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with key departments to align transport supplier performance with business objectives.

About You

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with containerised road & rail transport operations. Exposure to freight forwarding and/or shipping highly regarded.
  • Good understanding of local transport operations, laws and regulations incl. CoR.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Very high attention to detail, a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Proven ability to analyse large data sets and translate insights into operational improvements.
  • Experience with CargoWise and Power BI preferred.
  • Willingness to travel interstate as required.
