What will you do?
A day in the life of a Vice President, Americas Wholesale at Vans looks a little like this.
As the Vice President of Wholesale for the Americas, you will set the strategic vision and lead all aspects of Vans’ regional wholesale business to accelerate growth, deepen marketplace partnerships, and deliver sustainable profitability. You will provide inspirational, future‑focused leadership to the Wholesale Sales organization—driving product sell‑in, optimizing distribution, and ensuring brand and channel integrity across all wholesale accounts. You will define and execute a forward‑looking strategy to expand Vans’ presence within the digital marketplace ecosystem, strengthening connections with consumers and enhancing account performance through data‑driven, omnichannel growth.
In this role, you are accountable for commercial results, P&L performance, and the successful execution of key strategic initiatives. You bring a proven track record of leading high‑performing teams, scaling complex businesses, and developing data‑driven sales strategies that reflect the evolving retail landscape. You will champion cross‑functional collaboration, elevate operational excellence, and cultivate a culture of agility and performance. The Vice President of Wholesale reports to the Vans Americas General Manager and serves as a member of the Americas Leadership Team.

Lead the long‑term profitable growth of the wholesale business, setting the strategic direction for category, channel, and marketplace expansion to deliver sustained revenue and margin improvement.
Develop and execute wholesale marketplace strategies across physical and digital wholesale partners, including seasonal go‑to‑market plans, account segmentation, joint business planning, and major account negotiations.
Oversee comprehensive sales operations, including preseason planning, in‑season tracking, order book health, discount frameworks, shipment performance, and compliance across all order types (preseason, bulk, reorder, and close‑out).
Strengthen and maintain strategic customer relationships, ensuring proactive, world‑class service levels while actively supporting top‑to‑top engagements and key account selling opportunities.
Provide inspirational leadership and build organizational capability, developing talent pipelines, succession plans, and a high‑performance, inclusive culture across the Wholesale Sales team.
Partner with Americas & Brand Leadership Team to inform long‑range strategic planning across categories, channels, environments, and territories, ensuring alignment to Vans’ brand vision and commercial goals.
Deliver actionable marketplace intelligence, consistently monitoring and reporting on sell‑in and sell‑through performance, partner health, competitive insights, and consumer trends to inform future product, distribution, and marketing strategies.
Ensure operational excellence and account compliance, overseeing vendor documentation, distribution integrity, pricing adherence, and all components of account governance.

Strategic Commercial Leadership: Demonstrated ability to set long‑term marketplace strategy, drive profitable growth, and manage full P&L ownership. Devising and delivering scalable strategies is a key skill.
Wholesale & Account Management Expertise: Deep experience leading major account relationships, joint business planning, negotiations, and seasonal go‑to‑market execution.
Digital Marketplace & Omnichannel Acumen: Strong understanding of digital wholesale platforms, online merchandising, and omnichannel integration to accelerate partner performance.
Operational & Analytical Strength: Skilled in forecasting, order book management, retail math, and using data/insights to inform decisions and optimize business performance.
Consumer & Customer Focus: Commitment to delivering world‑class service and proactively anticipating partner needs, challenges, and opportunities.
Cross‑Functional Influence: Ability to collaborate effectively across Merchandising, Planning, Finance, Marketing, and Operations to align strategies and drive outcomes.
Leadership & Talent Development: Proven success building high‑performing teams, developing future leaders, and fostering an inclusive, values‑driven culture.
Executive Presence & Communication: Strong storyteller with the ability to distill complex information, influence senior stakeholders, and represent the brand at top‑to‑top levels.

Hiring Range:
$246,240.00 USD - $307,800.00 USD annuallyIncentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
