Senior Coordinator, Partnership Solutions

MLB is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Senior Coordinator, Partnership Solutions to join our team dedicated to maximizing the value of our Major League Baseball (MLB) partnerships. This role is essential for driving revenue by transforming the MLB assets into compelling, custom-built sponsorship programs and serving as a central hub for cross-organizational strategy and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Platform Development: Collaborate directly with the Sales team, providing strategic insights and creative direction to develop innovative, integrated, and marketable sponsorship platforms and programs across various media channels (e.g., digital, social, experiential, broadcast)
  • Asset Maximization: Become a subject matter expert on the full suite of MLB partnership assets, helping the team strategically package and position these assets to meet the specific marketing objectives of prospective and existing sponsors
  • Proposal Strategy: Lead the strategic development of high-impact sponsorship proposals, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and client needs.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay current on industry trends, competitor activities, and sponsor marketing shifts to inform the creation of forward-thinking and unique partnership opportunities
  • Internal Coordination: Serve as a critical internal liaison connecting the Sales team with key internal departments, including Marketing, Content, Production, Community and Product
  • Strategic Alignment: Facilitate cross-departmental communication and strategy sessions to ensure all internal stakeholders are aligned on partnership commitments, execution plans, and overall strategic goals related to the MLB partnership
  • Project Management: Oversee the strategic planning and initial scoping of complex, multi-faceted partnership programs, ensuring smooth handover to the Activation teams once the deal is finalized

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in partnership marketing, sponsorship sales, or solutions-focused roles within the sports, media, entertainment, or agency industries
  • Proven ability to translate broad business objectives and complex partnership assets into concrete, creative, and marketable solutions
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to effectively influence and manage relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders

Preferred 

  • An existing understanding of the professional sports commercial landscape.
  • Prior experience supporting a dedicated sales team and helping them achieve revenue targets
  • Proficiency in developing strategic narratives and presentation decks for executive-level audiences

Salary: $70,000 - $72,500 (Base Salary) 

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related aspects of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills, and any other factors MLB considers relevant to the hiring decision.
