Principal Software Engineer – Learning & Data Platforms
Role Summary:
The (USA) Principal, Software Engineer – Learning & Data Platforms leads the architecture, design, and delivery of scalable engineering and data solutions that power Wibey Golden Paths and Global Tech learning experiences. This role drives technical excellence across onboarding platforms, Learning Management System (LMS) management, Bootcamp redesign, learning agent development, and complex learning data ecosystems. Operating at a strategic level, the Principal Engineer defines system integration standards, data architecture frameworks, and platform scalability approaches to enable seamless, AI-enabled, data-driven learning experiences. The position requires strong technical vision, cross-functional collaboration, and mentorship to ensure high-quality, resilient solutions aligned to enterprise learning strategy and long-term platform evolution.
About the Team:
The Learning & Data Platforms team focuses on designing, building, and managing scalable systems that support onboarding, structured learning journeys, LMS administration, bootcamp transformation, and AI-driven learning agents. The team partners closely with engineering leaders, learning strategists, product teams, data teams, and Global Tech stakeholders to deliver integrated, data-informed learning solutions.
Members operate across platform engineering, system integrations, analytics, and automation to create unified, high-impact learning experiences. The team emphasizes modern architecture practices, clean data design, interoperability across systems, and continuous improvement. By leveraging APIs, automation frameworks, cloud-native infrastructure, and advanced analytics, the team ensures scalable, measurable, and innovative learning experiences aligned with enterprise technology and talent development goals.
What You'll Do:

Lead architecture and engineering strategy for onboarding platforms, LMS integrations, Bootcamp redesign initiatives, and learning agent development.

Design and implement scalable learning data ecosystems that enable real-time insights, reporting, and personalization at scale.

Drive full software development lifecycle activities including architecture, design reviews, coding standards, testing frameworks, deployment, and system optimization.

Establish integration patterns across LMS, internal platforms, AI-driven tools, and data systems to ensure seamless interoperability.

Architect cloud-native and distributed systems to support high availability, performance, and scalable learning delivery.

Champion AI/ML-driven learning experiences, including intelligent learning agents and adaptive learning capabilities.

Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate strategic learning objectives into measurable technical outcomes.

Mentor engineers and influence platform standards, fostering innovation, experimentation, and engineering excellence.
What You'll Bring:

Extensive experience architecting and delivering large-scale platform and data solutions in complex enterprise environments.

Proven expertise in distributed systems, system integrations, and data architecture design.

Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and JavaScript, with experience building scalable APIs and services.

Experience designing learning technology ecosystems, LMS integrations, or enterprise data platforms.

Demonstrated ability to lead AI/ML-enabled initiatives, including intelligent automation, personalization, or learning agents.

Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps principles, and high-availability cloud-native architectures.

Strong technical leadership presence with experience mentoring engineers and influencing cross-team architectural decisions.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
